Class Descriptions

  • Active- A steady paced balanced practice of more than the basics for mixed levels. A variety of poses to cultivate our stability, flexibility and ease of being.
  • Adaptive- Gentle class to improve posture, balance and strength as well as to ease chronic pain, stress, injuries, or limited mobility. Adapted to suit your needs.
  • Intermediate and Advanced Asana- classes will include inversions, backbends, forward bends and more challenging poses (there will be options for those not practicing inversions). It is helpful to have a home practice as the themes we will use lend themselves for further exploration at home
  • Basics- for complete beginners or those returning to yoga after a break. Fundamentals of poses and breath. Strengthen your body. Relax your mind. 
  • iRest Yoga Nidra - guided relaxation and inquiry meditation taught either lying down or seated comfortably. Suitable for anyone who may be tired, stressed, dealing with chronic pain or illness, or simply wishing to relax deeply.
  • Meditation – sitting group open to everyone-no experience necessary. Guided or silent meditation followed by a talk and time for Q and A.
  • Mom & Baby Yoga- For new moms and pre-crawling babies. Tone your body, Release the tension of new motherhood and deepen your connection with your baby.
  • Pre-Natal Yoga- Ease the discomforts of pregnancy and prepare for birth with gentle stretching, strengthening and relaxation exercises. For all stages of pregnancy.
  • Yoga for Arthritis - Gentle class to alleviate pain & stiffness in both joints and muscles. Improve posture, balance and strength, decrease joint wear and tear and create greater ease of movement.
  • Yoga for Spine and Sleep focuses on seated, standing, striding, sleeping postures & yoga poses to support those activities. Anthropological & anatomical information enhance the sessions.
  • Yoga with a Chair - Practice yoga without getting down on the floor. We will use the chair as support for all our poses, allowing us to build strength and flexibility without a lot of up and down. Suitable for beginners & those with limited mobility.
  • Seated Yoga Dance - If your knees or feet won’t let you stand very long, just sit down and dance!  This class uses a combination of Zumba dance moves and seated yoga postures.
  • Qi Gong – Ancient Chinese movement and meditation practice that is relaxing and revitalizing. Simple to learn and low impact Reduce stress, relieve pain increase your energy.

Studio is wheelchair accessible.

FEES: All fees are are paid directly to Yoga Mendocino.
We accept payments by credit card (mastercard or visa), cash, or check.  

CLASS SERIES REGISTRATIONS: You can pick up a Class Series registration form from our office or the studio or print it out here to send or bring in with you.

MULTI CLASS PASSES are also available at the studio or you can purchase online
Full and partial Scholarships available. Please ask for an application form.
