DANCE WAVE
Freestyle community dance comes to Yoga Mendocino on the second Friday of every month.
7:30pm until 9:00pm
Come stretch your body and soul with some funky rhythms and playful interaction with friends. Local djBasin will bump out some world beat, motown, contemporary dance tunes to move the body and touch the heart. The dance is structured in the shape of a wave form, starting very slowly and quietly and gradually building in tempo and heat through a variety of musical textures to a raucous, rowdy climax, followed by a long, winding down, settling like a hot air balloon, bouyantly relaxing back into a released, meditative closing. Be sure to arrive on time to enjoy the entire ride.
This is a barefoot dance, and dress to sweat!
Stretch your body and soul with some funky rhythms and playful interactions with friends.

The Dances of Universal Peace are group circle dances set to sacred phrases from the many traditions of the earth. These dances were originated through the work of Murshid Samuel Lewis in the late 60's.
